What are stock photographs?
Stock
photographs are existing photographs that can be used for print and web
ads, in books and magazines, in news, on websites, in brochures and in a large number of custom applications, according to
the licensing terms to which the photographer and buyer have agreed.
Using an image that already exists saves the purchaser the time and
expense of a custom photo shoot. Please read our Licensing Agreement for our terms of use. What are royalty-free photographs?'Royalty-free' describes material (in this case, our stock photographs) that may be used for profit, without paying royalties. 'Royalty-free' does not however mean that our photographs may be used without payment. It
simply means that for a one-time fee (or subscription) you have the right to use an
image in ways defined by our Licensing Agreement, with no
further license fees being paid for repeated use. What format are the photos in?
All The St Lucia Photo Store photos for download only and are in .JPG format. Do you add photos on a regular basis?
Yes. We add photos as they are taken. Click on "Newest Photos" to see the latest photos that we have posted. What is the lightbox feature?
The lightbox feature is only available to registered account-holders. It allows you to create a named collection of photos (or 'lightbox') in which you can store, manage, and share images of interest to you. Lightboxes are designed to help you get organized. When you find an image on our website that you like, you can save it to a lightbox you've created and continue searching. No need to write down the image number. Most people use lightboxes to store images they're interested in relating to a particular event or client.
Once you've created a lightbox and added images to it, you can remove images that no longer interest you, email the lightbox to other people and much more! How do I use the lightbox feature?
Log on to your account and then click on 'My Lightbox' in the left menu. You may now create a lightbox by typing in a name/title and clicking 'GO'. Next, select the lightbox you want to use and browse the website adding photos to your selected lightbox by clicking the lightbox icon displayed below the photo. You may view the contents of your lightbox(es) at any time by clicking on 'My Lightbox' in the left menu. How do I email a photo to a friend?
The email feature is only available to registered account-holders. Find a photo you want to email, then click on the email symbol below the photo.
Can I submit photos to sell?
We currently only sell photos that have been taken by The St Lucia Photo Store and it's partners.
Do you offer refunds?
Once your purchase is made we cannot offer a refund. The reason for this policy is that we offer full access to our entire digital collection of photos and, as such, there is no way for our products to be returned.
Are there any restrictions on my use of the The St Lucia Photo Store photos that I download?
Yes. While The St Lucia Photo Store offers great freedoms and a wide ranges of uses, we do not allow the redistribution of our photos, or allow the use of our photos within certain products that are for mass distribution. Please read our Licensing Agreement for our terms of use.
Will the image I download have a watermark on it?
No. Once purchased, downloaded photos are not watermarked.
If I purchase a subscription are there any other fees I will encounter when downloading from the site?
We do not currently offer a paid subscription service.
Is account sharing allowed?
No, sharing an account is no different than distributing our materials to others. Individual accounts must be opened by your friends and colleagues. Please read our Licensing Agreement for our terms of use.
